PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

During this course you will better understand the causes and symptoms of decompression sickness and how and why oxygen is the primary treatment. We’ll apply this understanding to our skills practice, so you can see how it all works. Whether it’s suspected decompression sickness, or another injury requiring emergency oxygen, you will be able to help bring about an improvement in the patient’s condition.

Following this course, you will be legally qualified to administer emergency oxygen, and obtain tank refills. In some countries such as Australia, this is a necessary qualification to work as a Divemaster or Instructor.

As such, our highly qualified and experienced Instructors will start with an in-depth classroom presentation, before a comprehensive skills demonstration and practice session. Combined with the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Manual, you will have efficient training in this area to add to your existing first aid skills.

Because of its importance, we include this course as standard, as part of our Rescue Diver and Divemaster training. This Specialty Course can count towards the elite PADI Master Scuba Diver rating!
